About Ampleur Cellars
Ampleur Cellars is one of Napa Valley's newest micro-labels, founded in 2023 by winemaker Morgan Maureze and sales veteran Andrew Wesson, who met while working at Marciano Estate. Maureze, raised in a French winemaking family and trained at UC Davis and the University of Bordeaux, spent fifteen vintages as Andy Erickson's assistant winemaker, with experience at properties including Screaming Eagle, Dalla Valle, and Dominus.
The debut releases set the tone: a 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon from St. Helena's Hayne Vineyard, just 160 cases bottled in six-packs, and 51.5 cases of Musqué-clone Sauvignon Blanc from a hillside parcel at 820 feet in the Vaca Range. Wines are made via custom crush at Seven Apart, and the brand launched at Premiere Napa Valley in 2025 with distribution in six states.
