About Arns Winery
Arns Winery is the Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon project of John and Marit Arns — their family surname placed on a volcanic mountain estate that produces wine from one of Napa Valley's most dramatically positioned sub-appellations. The Ink Grade Road property (adjacent to the Ink Grade Estate) sits on Howell Mountain's eastern flank, where the volcanic red soils and 1,400-foot elevation create conditions for intensely concentrated, structurally powerful mountain Cabernet.
John and Marit Arns have built the estate as a genuine family project — personally involved in farming decisions, personally present for tastings, personally committed to a winemaking philosophy that lets the volcanic mountain terroir speak without obscuring intervention. The Arns name is on the label because the Arns family is in the vineyard.
The mountain Cabernet produced under the Arns name consistently earns critical recognition for its characteristic Howell Mountain volcanic mineral intensity and the structural density that only high-elevation volcanic soils can produce.
