Backstage Winery is a family-owned estate on Big Ranch Road, a short drive from downtown Napa, where founder Angelo Perra and his family pour handcrafted, small-batch wines in a setting styled after a Tuscan villa. The property, formerly the original Andretti Winery tasting space, sits among 45 acres of vineyards that stretch toward the Napa River, with Italian architecture, a cobblestone courtyard, and mountain views in every direction.

Tastings run daily and range from a varied Backstage flight to an all-Napa Cabernet Sauvignon flight, poured indoors in a modern tasting room or outside by the fountain, where picnics are welcome and leashed dogs can join. The lineup spans Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, and Sauvignon Blanc, and visitors consistently describe it as one of the friendliest small-producer stops in the valley.
