About Benovia Winery

Benovia Winery is one of the best-kept secrets in Russian River Valley, a small, focused estate producing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay of extraordinary quality that receives consistently rave reviews from critics while remaining under the radar of casual visitors.

Founded in 2005 by Joe Anderson and Mary Dewane, Benovia farms multiple estate vineyard blocks in RRV including the Martaella Estate, a prime Goldridge sandy loam site in Santa Rosa, with sustainable and organic practices. Winemaker Mike Sullivan has been crafting wines here since the winery's founding, building a consistent house style of elegant, complex Pinot Noir that rewards cellaring.

The tasting room is warm and intimate, featuring the fireplace that Sonoma Magazine called out as one of wine country's finest places to enjoy a glass on a cold Sonoma afternoon. The experience is quiet, unhurried, and deeply personal in a way that the more famous Westside Road neighbors sometimes can't offer.

Benovia Winery presents a featured lineup that includes Martaella Estate Pinot Noir, Cohn Vineyard Pinot Noir, Martaella Estate Chardonnay, and Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Together, these bottles provide a focused introduction to the varieties, vineyard sources, and style that define the winery's current portfolio.

"A crackling fireplace, intimate hospitality, and some of the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in Russian River Valley, Benovia is Sonoma's best-kept "
