About Caelesta Wines, Vineyard & Truffière
Caelesta is El Pomar's most original estate: the Farrel family, Brian Sr. and Brian Jr., pair their vineyard with a working truffiere, an inoculated oak orchard where winter truffle hunts with trained dogs Lolo and Alana precede pizza-and-wine pairings back at the tasting room.
The Apogee Cab-Syrah leads a clean, refreshing list, and the perfect review record says the experience formula works. Wine above, truffles below.
Caelesta’s steep Templeton Gap hillsides give the Farrell family’s Rhone varieties real depth, but the estate’s second act steals headlines: a working truffiere, first harvested in 2021, with vineyard-and-truffle tours followed by tasting and lunch - truffles on the menu December through February.
