About Consilience Wines
Consilience is a long-running Santa Barbara County label, established in 1999 and built around bold, handcrafted Rhone-leaning reds, with vineyard-designated Syrah and Grenache at the core alongside Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon, kept deliberately small at under 2,000 cases a year with most wines below 150 cases.
In late 2013 the brand found a new home with the Sanger Family of Wines, joining Bill and Jan Sanger's Marianello and Tre Anelli labels, and its longtime Los Olivos identity has since transitioned with it. Today the three Sanger family brands pour together at the family's tasting lounge in Solvang, styled like a modern European bistro and paired with olive oil from the family's own Lucca-variety grove.
For visitors, that means Consilience is now a Solvang tasting experience rather than a standalone Los Olivos stop; check the Sanger Wines site for current hours and reservations before you go.
