About Cornerstone Cellars
Cornerstone Cellars traces back to 1991, when a group of friends sharing a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon on Howell Mountain sparked the idea for the label; physician Dr. Mike Dragutsky went on to found the winery around that spirit of wine as a vehicle for connection. Winemaker Kari Auringer has led the winemaking program for about 15 years, crafting small lots, sometimes fewer than 100 cases, from vineyard sites across Napa Valley, Sonoma County and the Santa Rita Hills.
The winery is best known for vineyard-designate Cabernet Sauvignon from sites including Howell Mountain and the Oakville bench (“Benchlands”), alongside its second label, Stepping Stone. Cornerstone now pours at The Yount Room, a collective tasting space in downtown Yountville that also features other boutique producers.
