About DeRose Vineyards

DeRose farms some of California's most venerable ground: the family's Cienega Valley property south of Hollister sits on the San Andreas fault and includes dry-farmed vine blocks dating deep into the nineteenth century, remnants of one of the state's oldest winegrowing districts, from which they bottle intense old-vine Zinfandel and heritage varieties.

The rustic winery, fault line literally underfoot, offers one of California wine's most tangible history lessons. Ancient vines, moving ground.
