About Deovlet Wines
Deovlet is the San Luis Obispo label of Ryan Deovlet, a winemaker who cut his teeth in Australia, New Zealand and with Central Coast Pinot mentors before launching his own house focused on Burgundian-variety wines, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, from distinguished Santa Barbara and SLO Coast vineyards.
The urban SLO winery keeps production small and the style polished, restrained and site-driven, earning steady critical praise. Deovlet belongs to the coastal-Pinot wing of the greater Paso wine country, city cellar and all. The urban-winery format means no vineyard views, but it puts serious coastal Pinot within walking reach of downtown San Luis Obispo, and the intimate scale keeps tastings personal in a way estate rooms rarely match.
