About Diamond Creek Vineyards
Diamond Creek was founded in 1968 by Al and Boots Brounstein, early proponents of single-vineyard Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. The couple identified four distinct terroir parcels on their Diamond Mountain estate, Volcanic Hill, Gravelly Meadow, Red Rock Terrace, and Lake, bottling each separately to express its own soil and microclimate.
In 2020 the Rouzaud family of Champagne house Louis Roederer acquired Diamond Creek from the Brounstein family; the two families had known each other since a 1997 Paris tasting of leading global wineries. The estate is now led by president Nicole Carter and winemaker Graham Wehmeier, continuing the single-vineyard, mountain-grown Cabernet program.
Diamond Creek bottles four separate single-vineyard Cabernets from one Diamond Mountain estate: Volcanic Hill, Gravelly Meadow, Red Rock Terrace, and Lake.
