About Estate Crush
Estate Crush opened in 2009 and does something different from the estates around it. It is a custom-crush facility: small brands make their wine, store their barrels and reach drinkers here without each one building a winery of its own. The downtown Lodi tasting room is the public face of that arrangement.
The practical consequence for a visitor is variety. The pour list has historically rotated across dozens of wines and participating labels, so you will find familiar Lodi grapes next to small-lot experiments and bottles that never reach conventional retail. Wines from notable regional vineyards, Bechthold among them, have appeared over the years, though availability changes.
It is worth understanding what you are visiting. Several labels sharing one address is one destination, not several wineries, and the tasting list depends on which client brands are currently active.
The downtown location makes it easy to combine with restaurants, shops and other tasting rooms within walking distance. Because this is a working production site, bottling runs and private events can affect access, so check the current schedule before arriving.
