About Foley Estates Vineyard & Winery
Foley Estates Vineyard & Winery is the realization of vintner Bill Foley's dream, launched in the late 1990s, to produce world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the cool Sta. Rita Hills of Santa Barbara County. Set on the Rancho Santa Rosa property along Highway 246 between Solvang and Lompoc, it has become one of the most important estates in the appellation.
The estate farms roughly 500 acres of vines, with an emphasis on Burgundian varieties suited to the region's fog-cooled, wind-swept hillsides. Foley's viticulture team practices a meticulous micro-farming program, mapping soils and topography in fine detail so each block is harvested and vinified to its strengths.
The 3,500-square-foot tasting room and event center overlooks the vineyard, offering seated flights of estate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. UTV vineyard tours of the Rancho Santa Rosa East Vineyard are available by appointment, and the grounds host weddings and private events.
