About Forman Vineyard
Forman Vineyard is Ric Forman's personal estate — his surname on a St. Helena winery he established in 1983 after his tenure as founding winemaker at Sterling Vineyards. Ric Forman was one of the generation of Napa Valley winemakers who defined the valley's modern winemaking identity in the 1970s and early 1980s, and Forman Vineyard represents his most personal declaration of what Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay should taste like.
The Big Rock Road estate produces Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay from carefully selected valley and hillside sources, with a winemaking philosophy shaped by four decades of accumulated Napa Valley knowledge. The Forman name on the label carries the authority of a winemaker who helped write the rulebook for California fine wine.
Wine Spectator has scored Forman Vineyard's Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay at 90–93 points, recognizing the quality of the sourcing and Ric Forman's accumulated expertise.
