About Gouveia Vineyards

Gouveia crowns a Wallingford hilltop with Portuguese-immigrant grit: Joe and Lucy Gouveia planted the estate and raised its great stone lodge, whose fireplace hall and wraparound views made bring-your-own-picnic afternoons a central Connecticut institution.

Estate-grown whites and reds pour beneath timber beams while the vineyard rolls downhill in every direction. The lodge every trail visitor remembers.

Joe and Lucy Gouveia's hilltop stone lodge: estate pours, fireplace hall and picnic-afternoon fame.
