About hope & grace Wines
hope & grace wines was founded by winemaker Charles Hendricks, who released his first vintage in 2001 and opened a tasting room in Beard Plaza on Washington Street in Yountville in 2004, the second tasting permit issued in town, after Jessup Cellars. Hendricks began his career at Robert Mondavi's Woodbridge facility and Gundlach Bundschu after studying viticulture at UC Davis.
The winery practices minimal-intervention winemaking and bottles 100% varietal wines sourced from Napa Valley appellations including St. Helena and Oak Knoll, plus fruit from Sonoma, Monterey, and San Luis Obispo counties. Every label carries the same 'Figure in Red' painting by artist Charles Eckart, and the tasting salon doubles as a small art gallery.
