About Integrity Wines
Integrity works out of an industrial park next to Watsonville airport, which is exactly the sort of unglamorous setting where a good deal of interesting California wine now gets made. The tasting room and the production floor are the same building, and winemaker Mark Hoover is a regular presence.
The wines are handcrafted in small batches across a fairly wide spread: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon among them, with fruit bought from vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Monterey County and Sonoma County rather than a single estate.
The name is meant literally. The winery describes integrity as covering everyone who contributed to the wine, and says the experience is only complete once the visitor is added to that list.
There is seating inside and out, and the shop keeps longer hours than the tasting room for anyone collecting an order rather than staying to taste.
