About Jarvis Estate
Jarvis Estate is the extraordinary underground wine estate of Bill and Leticia Jarvis — their English-heritage family surname on a Napa Valley winery that is literally inside a mountain. The Jarvis family excavated 45,000 square feet of caves into the hillside above Napa, creating one of the world's most dramatic underground winery facilities: natural temperature-regulated cave tunnels housing the fermentation, aging, and tasting rooms entirely within the mountain.
The Monticello Road estate produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc from estate vineyard sources with the underground-cave philosophy that the subterranean winery facility implies: wine made within the earth itself, aged in the constant 58-degree temperature that the cave's depth maintains year-round.
Wine Advocate has scored Jarvis's underground-cave Cabernet at 90–93 points.
