About Judd's Hill Winery & MicroCrush
Judd's Hill is a laid-back, family-run Napa Valley winery on the Silverado Trail, started in 1989 by Art Finkelstein, who had earlier founded Whitehall Lane and wanted to return to small-lot, hands-on winemaking. Now run by two generations of the family, it makes fruit-driven, balanced wines in limited quantities, from its signature Cabernet Sauvignon to Petite Sirah, Pinot Noir, and more.
What sets it apart is how hands-on you can get. Judd's Hill pioneered MicroCrush, a program that lets you make your own custom barrel of wine, and its Bottle Blending Day Camp invites you to blend, bottle, and label your own Napa red. Add relaxed, personal tastings with vineyard views, and it is one of Napa's most engaging and unpretentious stops.
