Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens is one of the most visited wineries in Sonoma County, and rightfully so. Founded in 1982 by Jess Jackson, a San Francisco attorney who bought 80 acres in Lakeport on a whim, Kendall-Jackson grew to become one of California's most influential wine producers. Their Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay, first produced in 1983, became the best-selling Chardonnay in America and introduced millions of consumers to the pleasures of California white wine.
But the Santa Rosa estate is far more than the brand recognition suggests. The 120-acre property includes extraordinary demonstration gardens, culinary, sensory, biodynamic, that are among the finest winery gardens in California.
