About Kenwood Vineyards
Kenwood Vineyards at 9592 Sonoma Highway has been one of the Sonoma Valley's most recognizable and consistently quality-driven wine labels since its founding in 1970 — one of the valley's earliest modern wine estates and a genuine pioneer in establishing Sonoma Valley's reputation for serious varietal wine production. The location in the small town of Kenwood, at the upper end of the Sonoma Valley, places it between the cooler Carneros influence to the south and the warmer Alexander Valley air mass to the north.
The Sonoma Highway location provides access to a variety of Sonoma Valley and Sonoma County growing sites, allowing Kenwood to produce a broad range of varietals. Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Zinfandel anchor the program, with the Artist Series Cabernet — featuring artwork by a different California artist each vintage since 1975 — serving as the winery's most distinctive and collectible expression.
Walk-ins are welcome daily from 10am to 5pm with a $20 starting fee. The Kenwood tasting room reflects the winery's unpretentious, wine-first approach — a genuine Sonoma Valley experience that prioritizes quality and accessibility.
