About Kistler Vineyards
Kistler Vineyards is one of California's benchmark producers of Burgundian-style Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, founded in 1978 by winemaker Steve Kistler and Mark Bixler. Working from the Russian River area of Sonoma, Kistler built its reputation on single-vineyard, barrel-fermented Chardonnays made with native-yeast fermentation and minimal intervention.
The wines are released across a range of named vineyard designates alongside the Sonoma Mountain and Les Noisetiers Chardonnays and the celebrated reserve Cuvee Cathleen. Production is tightly allocated and sold primarily through the mailing list, and visits are by appointment.
