About Keplinger Wines

Keplinger Wines was founded in 2006 by winemaker Helen Keplinger and her husband DJ Warner. Helen trained in enology at UC Davis and built her reputation making wine at Bryant Family Vineyards and Grace Family Vineyards before launching her own label; in 2023, Vinous critic Antonio Galloni named her Winemaker of the Year.

The winery is based at 926 Franklin Street in Napa but is not a traditional single-vineyard estate, Helen sources small lots from vineyards across California, including Hudson Ranch, Oakville Ranch and Vine Hill Ranch in Napa, Shake Ridge Ranch in Amador County, and sites in the Sierra Foothills and Paso Robles. Keplinger's Franklin Street tasting salon operated from 2018 to November 2025 and has since closed permanently; visits are now hosted by appointment at Arrow & Branch, south of Yountville.
