About Kelly Fleming Wines
Kelly Fleming and then-husband Paul Fleming (co-founder of Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and P.F. Chang's) bought a 300-acre property in Simmons Canyon south of Calistoga in 1998, planting 12 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon in 1999 and later building underground caves and a French-inspired stone winery for their first estate vintage in 2010.
In August 2024, after 26 years, Fleming sold the 286-acre Calistoga estate, vineyards, winery, and caves, to Jayson Woodbridge of Hundred Acre Wine Group, citing regulatory struggles with Napa County and the lasting impact of the 2020 Glass Fire. Fleming kept the Kelly Fleming Wines brand and most existing inventory and says she now intends to source Cabernet from other vineyards, splitting her time between Texas and California rather than operating from a Napa Valley estate.
