About Korbin Kameron
Korbin Kameron is a family estate born from a drive through the Sonoma Valley, when Mitchel and Jenny Ming came upon a homestead perched so high above the valley floor it seemed to sit above the clouds. They planted their Moonridge Vineyard there in 2000, on the ridge of Mount Veeder where it straddles the county line, the majority in Sonoma's high-elevation Moon Mountain District, a smaller part on the Napa side. The brand takes its name from the Mings' twin sons, Korbin and Kameron.
The wines are Bordeaux-focused and grown on volcanic, well-drained mountain soils that yield intense, concentrated fruit: estate Cabernet Sauvignon from both Moon Mountain and Mount Veeder, plus Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc and a proprietary red. Production is tiny, and the pedigree is high, sustainable-farming legend Phil Coturri has tended the vineyard, and acclaimed winemaker Tim Milos, of Opus One fame, has crafted vintages here.
The estate was hit hard by the 2017 Tubbs Fire and rebuilt; visits to the mountaintop property are intimate and best arranged directly with the winery.
