About La Sirena
La Sirena is named for the siren of mythology — la sirena in Spanish, the mermaid-like figure whose song lures sailors irresistibly toward her. It is Heidi Barrett's personal declaration: wine that calls to you, that you cannot resist, that draws you back.
Heidi Barrett is among the most celebrated winemakers in California wine history — she made the first vintages of Screaming Eagle (the cult Oakville Cabernet that started at $75 and now sells for thousands per bottle at auction), alongside decades of consulting work for Napa Valley's most serious estates. La Sirena is her own label, produced under her own name's mythological avatar rather than the client estates that made her famous.
The Calistoga-based project produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Moscato Azul, and Pirate Treasure (a Cabernet blend) from Napa Valley sources selected by Barrett's own palate and shaped by her unmistakable winemaking touch — the same touch that made Screaming Eagle one of the world's most coveted Cabernets.
