About Lakewood Vineyards
Lakewood Vineyards is a third-generation family farm and winery on the western shore of Seneca Lake, just north of Watkins Glen. The Stamp family has been growing grapes on this land since 1951, and the winery was established in 1988 to craft estate wines from fruit grown entirely on the family's own vineyards. That unbroken connection between land, family, and wine gives Lakewood an authenticity that visitors feel the moment they arrive. The tasting room is warm and unpretentious, staffed by family members and longtime employees who know every vineyard row and every barrel in the cellar. Lakewood grows 14 varietals across 80 acres of vineyards overlooking Seneca Lake, with views of the water from the family-run tasting room.
The portfolio is broad and well-priced, spanning Riesling, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, and the winery's popular Long Stem series of accessible, fruit-forward blends. Lakewood has earned a loyal following for delivering consistent quality at fair prices, and the winery regularly wins gold medals at the New York Wine and Food Classic and other competitions.
