About Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars
Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars is one of the most architecturally striking wineries in the Finger Lakes, housed in a soaring Greek Revival building perched high above the eastern shore of Seneca Lake. The estate was founded in 1990 and draws its name from a steamboat landing that once served the lakeside community. The vineyards occupy 120 acres of steeply sloped terrain above the lake, where shale and limestone soils and cool lake-effect breezes create ideal conditions for aromatic white wines and elegant cool-climate reds.
The wine program has earned consistent critical acclaim for its range of Rieslings, from bone-dry to late harvest, as well as Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir. The tasting room features floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of Seneca Lake and the surrounding countryside, and the welcoming staff guide visitors through flights that highlight the estate's diverse vineyard sites. Lamoreaux Landing is also a sought-after venue for weddings and private events, with its dramatic architecture and vineyard setting providing one of the most memorable backdrops in all of New York wine country.
