About Levo Wine
LEVO is a small-batch, Rhone-focused label in Paso's Tin City, the personal work of self-taught winemaker Bret Urness, who started it in 2011 after trading academia for hands-on winemaking in Portugal's Douro. He sources exceptional fruit from top vineyards in Santa Barbara's Ballard Canyon and west-side Paso, and bottles only the barrels that make the cut.
Production is intentionally tiny, so the focus stays on quality over quantity, and Bret himself is often in the minimalist Tin City tasting room to pour and talk shop. For anyone drawn to soulful, small-production Rhone wines and a personal, unpretentious experience, LEVO is a rewarding stop among Tin City's cluster of makers.
