About Libarle Vineyards

Libarle Vineyards is a tiny, family-owned and operated vineyard in Cotati, near the southern edge of the Sonoma Coast appellation between Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park. The land has been in the family for four generations, since Jeff Libarle's great-grandparents emigrated from Italy in the early 1900s, and today it is a genuine labor of love devoted to a single grape: Pinot Noir.

Winemaker Jeff Libarle brings formal training in viticulture and oenology, honed by time spent in France, to the estate's cool-climate fruit. Production is deliberately minuscule, just about 300 cases a year, with grapes hand-harvested and the wine aged 18 months in French oak followed by additional time in bottle, yielding a Pinot with bold cherry, earthy aromas and a silky, lower-tannin finish.

The wines are sold exclusively direct to consumers, available only on-site or by delivery, which keeps the whole experience personal. Visits are by appointment only and center on a tour and tasting where you're likely to spend time with the family itself, an intimate, unhurried look at four generations of Sonoma farming.
