About Lundeen Wines
Michael Lundeen has been making wine under his own name since 2006, and the label has become known first for sparkling wine, which is still a minority pursuit in a valley that mostly makes still Pinot Noir.
The sparkling range covers Brut, Blanc de Blancs, Extra Brut and Brut Rose, made in small batches. Alongside them sit still Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, so a visit can go either way depending on what you book.
Tastings are communal and seated, running at fixed times through the day rather than on demand: eleven, one and three. That structure suits the format, since a sparkling flight benefits from being poured to a room at once rather than glass by glass at a counter.
The tasting room is in McMinnville rather than out among vineyards, which makes it straightforward to combine with the Third Street cluster a few minutes away.
