Founded by Franco Marchesi, who grew up in an Italian winemaking family, the estate specializes in Barbera, Dolcetto, Primitivo, Sangiovese, and Pinot Grigio alongside Pinot Noir, drawing on the warm microclimate of the Gorge to ripen Mediterranean varietals that struggle in cooler parts of Oregon.
