About Main & Mill House
Main and Mill House is the newest addition to the Frankel family's portfolio of North Fork wine destinations, joining sister properties Croteaux Vineyards in Southold and Rose Hill Vineyards in Mattituck. Opened in June 2024 on the site of the former Sherwood House tasting room in Jamesport, the space has undergone a complete transformation into an elegant, 1920s-inspired tasting room where vintage sophistication meets modern North Fork hospitality. The name references the nearby intersection of Main Road and Mill Lane, where the estate's vineyards are planted.
The wine program features Main and Mill House's inaugural vintage alongside a curated selection, with a spectrum of varietals from crisp whites to robust reds. The 2023 Daisy white blend, named after the iconic Great Gatsby character, captures the swanky spirit of the tasting room. The culinary menu goes well beyond typical winery fare, offering everything from lobster and caviar to comfort classics like pigs in a blanket and tater tots, with Shirley Temples on hand for younger visitors. The William Ris Gallery on the property adds an art dimension to the experience. Main and Mill House brings a fresh, high-end energy to the western end of the North Fork wine trail while maintaining the Frankel family's core commitment to warm hospitality and exceptional wine.
