About Margarita Vineyard
Margarita Vineyard sprawls across the historic Santa Margarita Ranch, a Spanish land-grant property whose agricultural history reaches back to the mission era, making it one of California's longest continuously farmed ranches. As the southernmost vineyard in the Paso Robles AVA, tucked against the Santa Lucia Range just fourteen miles from the ocean, it is also one of the appellation's coolest sites.
The vineyard is farmed by the families behind Ancient Peaks Winery, whose ranching roots in the area run generations deep, and its varied soils, including ancient sea-bed blocks studded with fossilized oyster shells, supply the estate program. The historic ranch also hosts zipline tours and events, blending working agriculture with visitor adventure.
