About McNab Ridge Winery

McNab Ridge Winery carries one of the most storied names in Mendocino wine: it was founded in 1999 by John Parducci, the county's pioneering winemaker, to continue his family tradition after the historic Parducci winery changed hands. His grandson Rich Parducci, a Fresno State enology graduate mentored by John himself, joined after the 1999 harvest and remains the winemaker, building on four generations of family expertise.

Every wine is made from Mendocino County fruit sourced from local independent growers, many of them relationships John first built decades ago. The range is unusually broad: Family Reserve Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet, distinctive varieties like Primitivo, Pinotage and Touriga Nacional, the classic French Colombard that honors John's first 1945 bottling, and a run of sweeter wines, Moscato and port styles, that few neighbors attempt. The playful Fun Bunch label, including Zinzilla, keeps things from getting too serious.

The tasting room occupies an updated historic building on Highway 101 in downtown Hopland, an easy walk from the town's other tasting rooms, with a dog-friendly back patio, garden and fire pit. Picnics are welcome, hours run most of the week, and Second Saturday open houses bring wine, food and music together in true Hopland fashion.
