About Mueller Winery
Mueller Winery is a small, family-run label founded in 1991 by Robert Bob Mueller, whose devotion to the Russian River Valley has made him one of its most respected Pinot Noir producers. A UC Davis-trained enologist who honed his craft at Souverain, Foppiano and Charles Krug before striking out on his own, Bob built the winery around a simple conviction: that the cool climate and terroir of the Russian River are ideal for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
His flagship, Emily's Cuvee Pinot Noir, named for his daughter, born just as the first fruit arrived in 1994, has been called one of the valley's best Pinots at any price, and Wine Spectator has ranked Mueller among California's top thirty Pinot producers. The lineup, all Russian River fruit, extends to additional single-vineyard Pinots, Chardonnay, old-vine Zinfandel, Syrah and a rose, produced at around 4,000 cases a year.
Mueller pours from a friendly tasting room near the Healdsburg Square, where Bob himself is often the one behind the bar, a genuinely personal stop for Pinot lovers.
