About Muni Wine - Ventura
Muni Wine is Municipal Winemakers' Ventura outpost, a 5,000-square-foot room on the Avenue that founder Dave Potter opened on Valentine's Day 2025 with a mission of making wine radically approachable: flights and glasses all day, build-your-own cheese and charcuterie boards, vintage arcade games and zero pretense.
The pour list spans the family of labels, bright Muni wines, biodynamic Nowadays, single-vineyard Potek and non-alcoholic January Drinks, so the room serves everyone from natural-wine nerds to designated drivers. Food trucks roll up on weekends; trivia, karaoke and dumpling nights fill the calendar.
Open every day (until 10pm Thursday through Saturday), walk-ins always welcome, kid and dog friendly: it is the most democratic wine room in Ventura County, exactly as the municipal name intends.
