Off the Rails Winery, a cable car turned urban wine bar

Off the Rails Winery is Temecula's urban-style pop-up winery, built around an authentic historic San Francisco cable car repurposed as a mobile wine bar and parked inside Black Market Brewing Co. on Enterprise Circle North. The concept comes from the team behind Cable Car Wine Tours, which has run open-air cable car tours through Temecula Wine Country for well over a decade, and brings that same nostalgia indoors with wine on tap poured straight from the car.

The label works with established winemakers to produce its own lineup, from chilled easy-drinking whites and sangria to serious Cabernets, and visitors can choose a guided tasting, a food and wine pairing, a glass on their own or a bottle with friends. The signature CableCarCuterie boards and a full sandwich and pizza menu from the host brewery round out the experience.

Because it lives inside a brewery, this is one of the few stops in Temecula where a group can do a winery and a brewery at the same table: wine drinkers work through the tasting flights while beer drinkers pick from more than forty taps. Walk-ins are always welcome, and the space can be partially or fully bought out for private events.
