About Opolo Vineyards
Opolo Vineyards at 7110 Vineyard Drive has been one of the Paso Robles Westside's most beloved and consistently quality-driven estate wineries since its founding in 1999 by Rick Quinn and Dave Nichols. The Vineyard Drive location provides access to calcareous limestone soils and Pacific marine influence that give Opolo's wines the mineral backbone and natural acidity distinguishing Westside Paso expressions from the warmer eastern side.
The estate is best known for its Mountain Zinfandel, a limited-production wine from high-elevation Westside vineyard blocks that has become one of Paso Robles' most collected and sought-after single-varietal expressions. The Mountain Zin shows the concentration, spice, and structural depth that only carefully farmed high-elevation Zinfandel can achieve. The broader Opolo portfolio includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Sangiovese, all reflecting the Westside's calcareous terroir character.
Walk-ins are welcome daily from 10am to 5pm with a $20 starting fee. The Vineyard Drive setting and unpretentious hospitality approach make Opolo one of the most enjoyable and rewarding Westside Paso Robles tasting experiences at any price point.
