About Palazzo Wine
Palazzo Wine was founded in 2003 by Scott Palazzo, a Grammy-nominated music video and television director turned winemaker, whose passion for Bordeaux was shaped by time spent in Saint-Émilion, France as a young man. Rather than a traditional St. Helena estate, Palazzo sources fruit from hillside vineyards in the Carneros appellation of southern Napa Valley, a cooler, maritime-influenced region Scott chose for its similarity to Bordeaux's Right Bank soils and climate.
The winery makes small-lot, Bordeaux-inspired reds and whites, including a 'Left Bank' red cuvée, a 'Right Bank' reserve blend, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay and rosé, and its wines have been poured at restaurants including The French Laundry, Per Se and Daniel. Palazzo does not operate a Napa Valley tasting room; its public-facing tasting space is in Laguna Beach, California, with wine club and by-appointment access.
