About PharaohMoans Wine
PharaohMoans Wine is a Napa Valley wine producer. A Paso-born Rhone project that moved to Napa chasing elegance over muscle. A chef and a vintner, the project began in westside Paso Robles as a collaboration between John Schwartz, owner of Amuse Bouche in Napa, and James Beard award-winning chef Bryan Ogden, with Guillaume Fabre of Clos Solene making the wine.
It moved for the style, Schwartz found Paso's increasingly muscular reds at odds with the Chateauneuf-style elegance he wanted, and relocated the project after finding roughly seven acres of Rhone varieties in Napa. Rhone in Cabernet country, the Napa bottlings are Grenache-led GSM blends, drawing on Carneros Grenache and Pope Valley Syrah, which is rare in a valley given over to Cabernet.
We have not found a published schedule for routine public tasting at PharaohMoans Wine. The wines are sold direct or through the trade, and any visit would be by arrangement, so contact the producer before planning one.
