About Premonition Cellars

Premonition Cellars is a small, one-person boutique winery in the Russian River Valley, based in a warehouse winery in Santa Rosa. It's the labor of love of proprietor and winemaker Anthony Schroth, a self-described baseball player turned winemaker who studied wine business at Sonoma State and cut his teeth at Harvest Moon Estate in the heart of the valley.

In 2007 he took on a struggling grower's neglected Pinot Noir vineyard and, over long days restoring it, had a premonition of his ideal winery, the vision that became Premonition Cellars in 2009. Anthony does it all himself, from farming the grapes to making and bottling the wine, focusing on limited-production, handcrafted Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Zinfandel, plus Mourvedre and rose, sometimes in magnums.

The results speak for themselves: his wines rack up Gold and Double Gold medals at the San Francisco Chronicle and Sonoma County Harvest Fair competitions year after year. Tastings are personal and by appointment, a genuine, hands-on artisan experience.
