About Rideau Vineyard
Rideau Vineyard is a boutique, family-owned winery founded in 1997 in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley, centered on the historic El Alamo Pintado Adobe near Solvang. The restored adobe farmhouse, shaded by century-old oaks and surrounded by rolling picnic grounds, gives Rideau one of the most characterful tasting settings in the valley.
The estate is rooted in the traditions of the Rhône Valley, with an organically farmed 15-acre vineyard planted to five Rhône varietals: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Viognier, and Roussanne. These are hand-harvested and crafted into expressive blends and single-varietal wines through minimal-intervention winemaking.
Beyond its estate Rhône program, Rideau sources from select local vineyards for wines such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Sangiovese. The relaxed, dog-friendly grounds welcome walk-ins daily, with private food-paired estate experiences available by reservation.
