About Roblar Winery and Vineyards
The land Roblar sits on spent decades as a horse-breeding and training ranch. Twenty-one acres of it were planted to vines in the late 1990s, once the Santa Ynez Valley's potential as a premium wine region became obvious, and the Gleason family took over in 2017 having been part of the local wine community since 2004.
What sets it apart now is the kitchen. Roblar runs an in-house culinary and events team, and an executive chef builds the menu around produce harvested daily from the winery's own farm next door. Lunch runs daily, brunch on Sundays, and dinner midweek.
The tasting room is a 5,000 square foot space with an indoor-outdoor stone fireplace, opening onto a trellis-covered patio that looks across the gardens and out to the oaks and rolling hills.
The wines lean Bordeaux, with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay drawn from other celebrated vineyards in the region. The signature bottling is Grace and Grit, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
