About Rusack Vineyards
Rusack Vineyards sits at the gateway to Ballard Canyon, one of Santa Barbara County's most distinctive wine appellations, on a hillside estate with panoramic views across the Santa Ynez Valley. Founded by Geoff and Alison Wornall Rusack in 1995, the winery was built with a commitment to showcasing the unique terroir of Ballard Canyon and the broader Santa Ynez Valley through estate-grown wines that express the interplay of warm days, cool maritime fog, and well-drained soils. The property includes a beautifully landscaped tasting room, picnic grounds shaded by ancient oaks, and vineyard-view terraces that make it one of the most scenic stops in the valley. Perched on a hillside with spectacular views, Rusack pairs estate Pinot Noir and Syrah with a welcoming patio overlooking the vines.
The portfolio is anchored by Ballard Canyon Syrah, the signature wine of the appellation, alongside Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir from the Sta. Rita Hills, and Bordeaux-style red blends. The tasting room offers seated flights that walk guests through the estate wines with knowledgeable staff, and the winery regularly hosts events, wine dinners, and live music. Rusack has built a reputation for elegant, food-friendly wines that over-deliver at their price points, earning loyal followers among both locals and visitors making the drive from Santa Barbara and Los Angeles.
