About Schweiger Vineyards & Winery
Schweiger Vineyards & Winery sits about 2,000 feet above the Napa Valley on Spring Mountain, reached by a winding drive from St. Helena. The elevation, forested surroundings and vineyard views make the setting a meaningful part of the visit. This is a working family winery rather than a large resort-style property, and the experience is paced around conversation, mountain farming and estate wines.
The Estate Tasting currently includes four releases, normally including the estate Cabernet Sauvignon, and lasts approximately 75 to 90 minutes. Depending on weather, guests may be seated on the terrace, balcony or inside the tasting room. The portfolio also includes Chardonnay, Merlot and other estate wines, allowing the host to show more range than a single-Cabernet presentation.
Schweiger is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but all visits are by appointment. The current Estate Tasting price is $65 per person and is complimentary for qualifying club members. Outdoor seating is not guaranteed, and mountain weather can be noticeably cooler or windier than the valley floor.
The drive is part of the planning. Spring Mountain Road is narrow and slower than Highway 29, so guests should leave generous travel time and avoid scheduling a tight connection to a valley-floor appointment. Mobile service can be inconsistent. Comfortable shoes and a layer are practical, particularly if the visit includes movement through the property.
Schweiger is a strong fit for travelers who want a genuine mountain estate without an ultra-formal collector format. It can also help guests compare how elevation changes the feel of both the vineyard and the wines. Confirm current group limits and accessibility needs before arrival.

"Wino Notion likes that Schweiger delivers a true Spring Mountain experience without making the visit overly formal. The terrace, elevation and family-run scale keep the focus on the estate, while the tasting provides more variety than Cabernet alone."
