About Screaming Eagle Winery
Screaming Eagle is the definition of California cult wine: Jean Phillips's tiny Oakville vineyard produced a 1992 debut Cabernet that Robert Parker scored 99, igniting a mailing list measured in decades of waiting and auction prices in the tens of thousands. Under owner Stan Kroenke, with winemaking led over the years by talents like Nick Gislason, the estate produces minute quantities of Cabernet and the Flight second label.
There is no tasting room, no visits and effectively no retail; the wine is allocated to a list most applicants will never top. The eagle screams; almost no one hears it in person.
