About Tensley Wines
Joey Tensley built his name one Syrah at a time: founded in 1998 on a shoestring, Tensley became Santa Barbara's single-vineyard Syrah specialist, bottling site-by-site expressions from Colson Canyon, Turner and other county vineyards that earned repeated top-100 acclaim at friendly prices. The Los Olivos tasting room pours the roster side by side.
The wines are dark, peppery and generous, and the vineyard-designate lineup doubles as a Syrah tour of the county. One grape, many places, no pretense.
