About The Setting Wines
The Setting Wines takes its name from the double meaning of 'setting' — the sunset moment (the perfect setting for a glass of wine, the sky turning the colors of Grenache and Chardonnay) and the theatrical/cinematic sense (the setting in which action occurs, the background that makes the foreground meaningful). Wine as setting: the thing that makes the meal, the conversation, the evening more itself.
The Sonoma County Pinot Noir and Chardonnay program sources from Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast vineyard sites selected for their maritime character and site-specific expression. The setting philosophy means wines that recede into the background at the right moments and emerge into the foreground when the setting calls for it.
The appointment-only format keeps the tasting focused and the setting appropriately considered.
