About Tom Eddy Winery
Tom Eddy Winery is named for Tom Eddy himself — first name and last name both on the bottle, the most complete possible declaration of personal accountability. Tom Eddy has been making wine in Napa Valley since the early 1980s, first at Heitz Cellar and then as a consultant and estate producer, accumulating decades of specific Calistoga and mountain-appellation knowledge that informs every vintage of the wines he labels with his own name.
The Calistoga estate produces Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from estate and purchased mountain-district sources, with winemaking that reflects Tom Eddy's experience with the high-altitude, high-mineral, high-intensity Calistoga and mountain appellation character. Calistoga's unique combination of warm days and dramatically cool nights — cooled by the Petrified Forest and the elevation — produces Cabernet of unusual depth and aging potential.
Wine Advocate has scored Tom Eddy's Napa Valley Cabernet at 91–95 points, recognizing the accumulated quality of three decades of Calistoga winemaking knowledge applied to a personally-named boutique label.
