Trujillo Wines

Trujillo Wines is a Napa Valley wine producer, established in 2009. Michael Trujillo's namesake label, born from a 1982 spring-break visit that turned an engineering student into a 13-year student of André Tchelistcheff. A spring break trip that changed everything, Trujillo was studying architectural engineering when a 1982 visit to a family friend's Napa Valley winery convinced him never to finish his degree.

Thirteen years studying under a legend, Trujillo spent over a decade learning directly from André Tchelistcheff, one of Napa Valley's most influential winemakers, while also formally studying at UC Davis. A label with a personal family crest, the Trujillo Wines label features a crest blending a Colorado ram and California bear, Colorado blue columbine flowers honoring his late wife, and notches marking each decade of his winemaking career.

We have not found a published schedule for routine public tasting at Trujillo Wines. The wines are sold direct or through the trade, and any visit would be by arrangement, so contact the producer before planning one.
